For those players looking to make some money, one technique to practice is known as doubling down in blackjack. Whether a player is playing at a casino, or free blackjack online, this option can always be sought after.
Doubling down is as simple as it sounds; a player may choose to double the bet on their hand. When playing free blackjack, both the player and the dealer are dealt two cards, one facing up and one down. If a blackjack player is given a good hand and believes the next card dealt to him will make his hand better he can choose to double down and increase his wager to double the original bet. Yet, even if the next card is a low card, the player is only permitted to take one more card from the dealer. For instance, if a player made an original bet of $15, he can double down and increase his bet to up to $30.
The idea behind doubling down in free blackjack is a gamble, but players can increase their odds by counting cards. For example, if a player has a 4 and a 5 card in their hand, and know there are many face cards and 10 cards that have yet to be played, he knows his chances of hitting and being successful in free blackjack are bigger. Although a player may loose twice the amount of money with this move, the payout can be twice as large if the play is successful.
